Botanical Name - Cascarilla Bark - Croton eluteria Plant Origin - Central America. Oil taken from - Tree Bark. Extraction Method - Steam distillation. Aroma Description - Strongly woody, peppery & spicy aroma, with gently musky and cinnamon-like undertones. Traditional uses for Cascarilla Bark Essential Oil include - One of Mantra Aromatherapy's rarest products, Cascarilla Bark is a delightful Essential Oil with a complex aroma. It is often used in high-end perfumery for its deliciously woody and spicy qualities. As it is a hard to source and limited product please always use it sparingly, with this in mind we are currently only able to sell it in 1ml and 5ml sizes. Cascarilla Bark is a useful anti-inflammatory, it is good for digestion, skin rashes, acne and arthritis. it is strongly antiseptic and antimicrobial - useful when fighting infections such as sore throats when bathed in. It is also a notable anti-fungal agent , can be used to help combat Athlete's foot, Ringworm etc when diluted and applied topically. When used as part of a hands on massage treatment it is stimulating to the circulation and warming and soothing for tired and sore muscles.
