However, upon closer inspection, we realized that someone, evidently unconcerned about the Louisiana Purchase, had repurposed the book as a scrapbook to compile pages from late 19th-century flower catalogs. These pages are beautifully printed using chromolithography, resulting in vibrant colors and a distinctive texture.
