Up for sale is one pack of 50 Red Hot Poker shrub seeds (Kniphofia Uvaria). Red Hot Poker creates a a medium ornamental shrub that flowers tall spikey orange flowers through out the summer. Soak your seeds for 24 hours and then cold treat for 30 days by adding your seeds to 1/4 cup of screened peat or sand and 1 tbs of water. Place in a baggie, or other container, in your fridge (not your freezer) for 30 days. After the cold treatment period sow your mix onto the surface of your pot and do not cover. Expose to light and increase your temperature to at least 75 degrees. Keep slightly moist 24/7. You can also direct sow these in late winter and let nature cold treat them. Soak your seeds for 24 hours and then sow between 5-10 seeds in a 3 foot prepared garden area, sow them on the surface of your garden bed and lightly dust with screened peat.
