When GHB is present, the reaction pad changes from colourless to purple. Remove the cassette from the sealed pouch and use within one hour. If the reaction pad already shows a purple colour before applying the sample, do not use — discard and open a new cassette. Place the cassette on a clean, level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 full drops of urine (approx. 120 μL) to the specimen well (S). Start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well. Read results at 10 minutes by comparing the reaction pad colour against the included GHB colour card. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.
