She practiced in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh for 16 years before being appointed as a legal adviser in the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice. She also served as a legal advisor to the Central Bureau of Investigation on deputation. Her expertise earned her selection for training in London University under the Commonwealth Countries Programme. She was later appointed as a Judicial Member of the Customs, Central Excise & Gold Control Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi, before being elevated to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh (1992-1999). After retirement, she became a Member of the Indian Council of Arbitration, New Delhi
