Cushion cover "Vintage Hmong"

This cushion cover is made from a section of a traditional vintage Hmong skirt. The skirt is composed of both cotton and hemp fabrics. The intricate wax resist patterns have been created on the cotton fabric while the cross-stitch needlework is embroidered onto the hemp. Natural indigo dyes have been used for both fabrics. The fabric has been carefully washed and bonded with a knitted poly/cotton backing to ensure durability. The reverse side of the cushion cover is hemp.
