Beckah Candles

Beckah Candles are made in Central Hawkes Bay by Chandler (candle maker) Rebeckah Hunt. Small batch, hand poured or traditional hand dipped taper candles are created from local Kintail Honey beeswax. I collect 7kg bars of raw beeswax from the Honey House and then filter multiple times to clean the beeswax, this removes pollen, dust and other impurities so that I have a clean wax to work with. Once the beeswax is clean it’s then made into candles. My moulds come from all over the world, I try to support individual mould makers, and the honey industry when purchasing moulds and in 2025 I started making my own silicone moulds for my much loved and growing Farmers Market range. One of the reasons I started making candles was to create a family dinner ritual when my children were little and we sat at the kitchen table for our meals. As we know life gets busier when our children start to grow up but creating that space for everyone to gather was important to us as a family. My goal is simple, to make beautiful candles that spark joy and conversation and when they burn, they are even more beautiful. Beckah Candles are 100% Beeswax, made with cotton wicks. Non toxic candle dye is added sparingly to coloured candles to create my signature rustic and earthy colours.
