Necklaces and chains worn around the neck carry a risk of strangulation, and small parts such as the pendant, clasp or stones may present a choking hazard, particularly for babies and young children. Always remove the necklace before sleep (including naps), whenever the child is unsupervised, and before bathing, swimming or sport.
