Remove the extension springs from the track supports. Place a bathroom scale under the center of the door and lower the door slowly onto the scale. If the door is too heavy for one scale, use two scales with a 2x4 across them to spread the load, then add the readings together. Safety: Extension springs are under tension. Always install them with safety containment cables, and have at least one other person help you so the door cannot drop suddenly.
