Utricularia sandersonii "Blue"
Utricularia sandersonii is perhaps the most easily identifiable terrestrial bladderwort when in flower. Its charming little flowers resemble clusters of rabbits suspended in midair. The "Blue" variety of Utricularia sandersonii is unique in several ways. As the name implies, the flowers of this variety have a blue hue compared to the classic white flowers. This variety flowers less frequently than the standard variety, but the unique coloration certainly makes up for it. The plant also has a somewhat different growth habit, tending to produce runners along the top of the soil/substrate rather than spreading just under the surface. This allows it to create a more fluffy ground cover if you are using it as a companion for other plants. This bladderwort plant will be shipped as a 1.5" moss plug with a 3.5" plastic pot and enough top-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it. Planting and growing instructions will also be included.
