Native American Sterling silver, turquoise, coral, malachite, mother of pearl and jet inlay Jesse Monongya cuff bracelet
Description : Jesse Monongya passed in 2024, but his masterful inlay works of art still live on. Born in 1952, he was adopted and raised by his adoptive family near Two Gray Hills. After spending 18 months as a soldier in Vietnam, his birth mother appeared to him in a dream and told him he would be a famous jeweler. This insight hit him like a bolt of lightning. He apprenticed with the most accomplished artisans, including Charles Loloma. His inlay style is painterly. This sterling silver cuff is a magnificent example of his work. There is jet, mother of pearl, malachite, turquoise, and coral hand cut and inlaid to precision; the dots represent the planets in the sky, and the colorful inlay on the sides represents the Southwest landscape. A Native American treasure, this signed cuff is a collector's dream.
