One of the miniature rhododendrons that blooms among the first in April, it thrives in an exposed location and produces masses of creamy white flowers. Best cultivated in a wet soil in a position with sun or moderate shade, avoiding the early morning sun. This plant needs acidic soil because it is ericaceous, or acid-loving. It can be grown in a container using ericaceous compost if your soil is unsuitable.
