Jan 11th | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM $250 (Supplies Included) WEEK 1: Quick Breads – Foundations Learn the fundamentals of mixing methods, hydration, structure, and flavor development with approachable, no-yeast recipes. Projects: Short Cakes with Fresh Strawberries & Chantilly Cream Scones Lemon Poppy Seed Quick Bread Master the “muffin method” and “biscuit method,” practice proper folding techniques, and understand how to create tender crumb textures without overmixing. What Students Take Away A strong foundation in bread-making theory and methodology Skills in kneading, shaping, scoring, fermentation control, and baking Confidence to recreate every bread at home All breads made in class, packaged to take home This program may be taken as a complete 5-week series for the full bread-baking experience, or students may enroll in individual weekly classes based on their interests. Each session is designed as a standalone, hands-on workshop while also building skills that progress naturally throughout the series. Open to students ages 14 and older, this program is ideal for enthusiastic beginners, experienced home bakers, and anyone ready to deepen their knowledge of artisanal breadmaking. Our classes are hands-on, interactive experiences. So, please dress accordingly. We recommend wearing casual clothing that you won’t mind getting a little sugar on, and flat comfortable shoes. Open toed shoes and sandals are not recommended as this is a safety concern when working within a kitchen. Long hair should be tied back.
