Join me to learn how to create your own Cockleshawl. It takes a moment to learn but once mastered, the knitting of it can be addictive and any shawl or scarf knits up quickly. During this class we will knit a mini version of the Cockleshawl so you can go ahead with confidence to knit your bigger Cockleshawl. You will also receive a pattern in 4 colour ways for a complete shawl. I know 6 hours seems like a long time but we take breaks and the day/evening just flies in! I am very proud of my 100% success rate in teaching this class! The cockleshell motif is notoriously tricky to learn and has even defeated some of the most determined knitters. I have developed a way of teaching it to ensure your success! "I had tried cockleshell patterns before but with no success. I joined Helen's class and learned it at last! I completed my Cockleshawl, won a prize for it at a local show. I've already made another one in different colours and have another on the needles! 5 stars!" The class is live on Zoom and is taught by using a mixture of short films, charts and written instructions. I know 6 hours seems like a long time but we take breaks and the day/evening just flies in! The shawl is knit on 2 x 3.25mm (US 3) dpns or needles to knit flat in Jamieson's of Shetland Ultra or any lace weight equivalent.
