Puffin Burrow

Did you know puffins burrow underground? Often tucked under the rocks, their single puffling (yes, that's the name of a baby puffin!) stays protected while their mother gathers fish! Maine Scenes are inspired by my 2026 Artist Residency at the Audubon Seabird Institute's Hog Island Camp. During this residency, I made miniature sculptures inspired by the animals and ecosystems around me in coastal Maine. This piece is hand sculpted and painted - made with intention and love. Porcelain with underglaze, wire, glossy glaze.
