Belsnickel & Bough Illustrated Pages - 24 Primitive Christmas Junk Journal Pages

Belsnickel & Bough Illustrated Pages - 24 fully illustrated primitive Christmas pages starring the old-world Belsnickel: the tall, lean, hooded Father Christmas in his long homespun robe, long before the round red suit. EVERY PAGE MATCHES A DIE CUT If you already have the Belsnickel & Bough die cuts, these pages were made for them. The Belsnickels wear the same eight robe colors as the die-cut set - barn red, midnight blue, cream, mustard gold, oxblood, sage green, charcoal and walnut brown - so a die cut tucked onto its matching page looks like it stepped right out of the scene. (See the "Every Page Matches a Die Cut" image.) The look is an antique Victorian chromolithograph print - fine litho shading, soft faded color, foxing and gentle crackle - like plates from a hundred-year-old Christmas annual. Aged in the texture, not muddy: the snow stays clean, the shadows stay open, and they print bright on a home printer. WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE - 24 pages THE BELSNICKEL PAGES (1-12) Forest Path, Cottage Door, Winter Morning Pines, Candlelit Feather Tree, Stone Hearth, Moonlit Village, Lamplit Lane, Footbridge, Holly Portrait, Starry Night, Candles in the Clearing, and Toy Workshop. CHRISTMAS EVE VISITS (13-20) Frosted Window, Sleeping House, Gifts in the Snow, Christmas Market, Hand Sleigh, Feather Tree Table, Basket of Greens, and Christmas Mantel - the storytelling pages, with village children gathered around him. QUIET WINTER PAGES (21-24) Village at Dusk, Snowy Field at Dusk, Lantern at the Forest Edge, and Long Walk Home - calmer scenes with open snow and sky, lovely as backgrounds for layering die cuts, tags and journaling.
