She & Him – A Very She & Him Christmas (LP)

A delightful holiday album by She & Him—the duo of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward—featuring intimate covers of beloved Christmas classics made famous by Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, and The Beach Boys. Zooey’s vocals effortlessly shift between charming, cool, and playful, perfectly complemented by M. Ward’s rich, vintage guitar work—accented with slapback delay, spring reverb, and warm tube-amp tones. Formed around minimalist arrangements played mostly by the duo alone, the record maintains a gentle, relaxed tone, evoking the cozy atmosphere of a quiet home gathering. The design work is equally captivating, featuring a retro film-style cover photograph and 1950s–60s inspired modern graphics that make it a joy to display during the festive season.
