LARGE FRENCH TAPESTRY WALL HANGING

LARGE FRENCH TAPESTRY WALL HANGING A large vintage machine woven tapestry wall hanging with a woodland landscape, with trees, foliage in a rich palette of earthy browns. Sourced from France and dating to the mid-20th century. There are pin holes around the edge, where it has been pinned to something previously. Light in weight, this could be hung using brass clips which attach to a pole or a velcro strip could be added for easy hanging. A great size to hang above a bed or sofa. In the left hand corner, a damage has been repaired with a slight difference in fabric but overall this piece is in good vintage condition. A lovely statement piece to bring warmth and pattern to a wall. For best results, this could be steamed when hung to remove the slight crease line in the fabric. Measures W219cm x H178cm
