Postcard from Crete

A postcard from Crete, sent along with your order to mark the turn from summer into autumn. There are two: a stand of prickly pear holding the light against an open sky, and a walled courtyard in the late afternoon, roses and lemon leaves gone soft at the edges. Which one arrives with you isn't something you choose, and isn't something we choose either; one is set into every parcel as it's packed. Consider it the last of the summer, posted forward into the darker months.
