Gold & Silver Blue Topaz Cluster Flower Ring

I made this one-of-a-kind ring during my fine jewellery diploma, and it's been with me ever since. At the centre is a 5mm sky blue topaz, surrounded by eight smaller London blue topaz stones. Each stone sits in a 9ct yellow gold setting, creating a flower-like cluster above a polished sterling silver band. I love the contrast between the two shades of blue topaz and the warmth of the 9ct yellow gold against the silver. I deliberately gave the gold flower a textured finish rather than making it completely smooth. It's still beautifully polished, but the little marks and uneven surfaces catch the light in a different way and give the flower its character. I've decided it's finally time to let this ring go to someone who will enjoy wearing it. Part of The Last Pieces collection. This design won't be made again.
