Cambridge Imprint is a small Cambridge-based business that designs and prints patterned paper known for vivid colors, joyful hand-drawn illustration and typography, and careful attention to detail. Nearly everything is made in England: the papers are litho-printed in Bethnal Green by a long-standing printers’ cooperative, using matte uncoated stock and hand-mixed vegetable oil-based inks. They then work with small, highly skilled English makers (box-makers, bookbinders, potteries and textile printers) to turn their patterns into durable, beautiful, useful pieces. Yo-Yo is an original Cambridge Imprint pattern published for the first time in 2017. Reminiscent of a Japanese small motif, it is a simple, densely textured design that is particularly well-suited for covering or wrapping small objects such as boxes and books, and also a gentle and harmonious pattern for interiors: backing old cupboards or lining drawers. Each sheet is printed in England on responsibly sourced paper of archiving quality (90 gsm), using hand-mixed inks. One sheet measures 70 x 50 cm.
