Worth knowing before you buy: natural rubber is latex. The packaging states 100% natural rubber and carries no allergy statement either way, so we can't tell you more than the label does. If anyone in your family has a known latex allergy, have a word with your health visitor or GP before giving it to your baby. Can it go in the steriliser or the dishwasher? We'd say no. The only care instruction Best Years give is warm soapy water and a good rinse, and they don't list it as dishwasher or steriliser safe — so we wouldn't risk the heat on a handmade rubber toy. Will water get inside it? No. There's no hole anywhere on it, which is rather the point. That does also mean it doesn't squirt — if a squirter is what your toddler is after, there's one further down. Does it squeak? No. A squeaker needs a hole to push air through, and this bus hasn't got one. It's a quiet toy, which some parents will count as a feature. Is it really suitable from birth? Yes. It's one piece, soft, with no small parts to come away, and it's UKCA and CE tested for use from birth.
