Sword Boabdil, jineta, semi sharp

Boabdil, Mohammed XII, was the last Nasrid ruler of Granada and handed over the city in January 1492 to the Catholic Monarchs. His sword is a jineta, a typical Nasrid sword type with a straight, double-edged blade, a curved grip and a round pommel, and a cross-guard whose arms bend towards the blade. The original fell into Castilian hands after his capture at Lucena in 1483 and is now housed in the Museo del Ejército in Toledo.This replica features a silvered hilt with an aged finish and the characteristic rich ornamentation of the jineta. The blade is made of hardened stainless steel.The sword is semi sharp and intended for collectors, decoration and as a ceremonial piece in your costume; it is not suitable for combat.
