D017a Musique Des Automates (Coppélia) - Delibes, L.

(Music of the Automatons) from Coppélia Mechanical music from the ballet Coppélia, set in the workshop of the eccentric doll maker Dr Coppelius. In the original ballet this is a fiendishly high piccolo feature, but here it is set more comfortable key, and although the Piccolo still takes centre stage, the other flutes also have their moments to shine. This makes a great companion piece to D016a (Scene & Waltz of the Doll) or a spectacular little encore or showpiece on its own! Grading: 7 to 8 Duration: 1'58 Composer: Delibes, L.
