The Pinched Wall Sconce, finished in a tenmoku-style glaze that pools glossy brown and breaks to black across its textured surface, casts a soft upward glow - a sculptural presence on the wall. Each piece is cast in Australian porcelain then glaze in an iron oxide rich glossy glaze, turning the pale porcelain body a glossy brown, breaking to black where the glaze pools thickest. The original pinch marks remain visible in every cast, shaping how the light moves across the surface. Natural variation in size and finish occurs during firing.
