2025 Saumur Blanc Domaine Guiberteau

From Saumur in France’s Loire Valley, Domaine Guiberteau’s 2025 Saumur Blanc is pure, characterful Chenin Blanc. The estate spans 17 hectares, with 7.5 hectares of Chenin, across sites including Brézé, where chalky tuffeau limestone brings terrific drainage, freshness and mineral drive. Romain Guiberteau has led the domaine since 1996, farming organically since certification in 2007, with vines ranging from 5 to over 80 years old. The 2025 vintage brings a more generous, fleshy style than 2024, wrapped around a bright, zippy core. Expect orchard fruit, citrus, quince, chalk and a lovely saline finish. Delicious with oysters, clams, grilled fish or goat’s cheese.
