Pumpkin Queen
Pumpkin Queen “When the Queen of Halloween takes the throne, the night comes alive.” Somewhere in a world where every night is Halloween, a most unusual queen presides over a gathering of wonderfully peculiar creatures. Created by artist Bob Doucette, Pumpkin Queen invites you into a delightfully twisted fairytale filled with theatrical characters, mischievous spirits, and a touch of dark humour. At its centre sits the mysterious Pumpkin Queen, dressed in an elaborate orange gown, her piercing blue eyes watching over a celebration unlike any other. But this is no ordinary royal court. A quartet of black cats performs beneath her throne, while elegantly dressed skeletons join the festivities. Grinning jack-o'-lanterns illuminate the surrounding forest, and strange masks peer from the shadows. The Queen herself holds an assortment of bizarre faces, each seemingly waiting for its turn to join the masquerade. Is this a royal Halloween celebration? A mysterious midnight performance? Or perhaps a gathering where every creature has a secret identity? Whatever the occasion, one thing is certain: in the Pumpkin Queen's kingdom, nothing is quite what it seems. Back Side – The Halloween Masquerade Turn the puzzle over, and the Halloween festivities continue in an entirely different form. The reverse side reveals an intricately engraved world filled with an extraordinary collection of Halloween-inspired characters and whimsical shapes. Witches soar through the night on their broomsticks, accompanied by fluttering bats and playful ghosts. Dancing skeletons, mischievous jesters, grinning pumpkin-headed creatures, and mysterious black cats populate this enchanted gathering. Look closer, and you'll discover even more surprises—a smiling crescent moon, eerie skulls, delicate spiderwebs, hanging lanterns, and an owl watching quietly from its perch. Every corner holds another curious character waiting to be discovered. Many of these intricate figures become uniquely shaped wooden whimsies, transforming the puzzle into a miniature Halloween masquerade where each piece tells its own story. With 300 uniquely shaped whimies and two completely different sides to explore, Pumpkin Queen is more than a puzzle. It is an invitation into Bob Doucette's wonderfully eccentric imagination—a place where Halloween never ends, the strange becomes beautiful, and every creature is welcome at the Queen's midnight celebration.
