Cantina Orsogna Vola Volé Maiella National Park – Primitivo

Primitivo is better known from Puglia, but in the hills of Abruzzo it takes on a slightly different character. This one is a generous, warm-hearted red from Cantina Orsogna’s Maiella National Park range, made from organically grown grapes and certified Biodiversity Friend. It’s fermented with the natural biodiversity of the Maiella, in keeping with the winery’s conviction that healthy land makes better wine. In the glass, expect a rich, ripe style, with plum and dark cherry fruit, a touch of spice and a soft, rounded texture. It’s a wine with plenty of warmth and depth, and it’s easy to drink despite its generous character. The Vola Volé range is dedicated to bees, and the vineyards are managed so that pollinators can thrive away from chemicals.
