This one-off ring is inspired by crystal textures, sparkling rock and science fiction gems. The niobium centre of the ring is hand forged from pure niobium, shaped and textured individually in Alice Fry’s studio. Each band carries a distinctive sparkling surface — hammered by hand and inspired by geological formations, crystal structures and shimmering rocks. The niobium is inlaid into a smooth and comfortable silver ring. Visions of futuristic, celestial crystals are translated into metal. Using electricity, the ring is anodised to create iridescent teal green interference colours that dance in the light. This striking effect comes from niobium oxide built up on the surface using electricity in the anodising process, refracting and reflecting light to create a shifting, otherworldly illusion of colour. No two rings are ever identical — each one captures its own unique play of texture and tone. This ring is ready to ship. What is Niobium?
