This Astron solar-powered timepiece is themed Solidity, symbolising Seikos innovative spirit, present since the brands beginnings in 1881. Within a series taking inspiration from the solar system, this piece is inspired specifically by Earth. There are just 1,500 pieces of this limited edition available worldwide, with very few in the UK.Crafted in a super-hard 41.22mm titanium case with sapphire crystal glass, the distinctive spiral galaxy dial pattern in dark turquoise blue is particularly difficult to create on a solar cell whilst maintaining its charge efficiency. This limited edition watch showcases a curved pattern within an all-black case accompanied by a ceramic bezel, like a galaxy in space. The dial features a glittered effect, depicting bright stars. This model has a contemporary feel, with sleek lines, slim profile, and compact, angular design and an almost seamless flow from the case, through the lugs and to the bracelet. The centre links have a mirror-effect and the micro-adjustable clasp feature adds a personalised fit.The watch is powered by an in-house built 3X62 Solar-powered movement with GPS functionality for exceptional accuracy - being updated remotely by GPS satellite when the wearer moves between time zones. It can be charged by any light source - either natural sunlight or artificial light - for convenience.Seiko Astron: the worlds first GPS solar watch powered by light, automatically adjusted to your exact time through the latest satellite technology.
