Gods & Goddesses Clay Workshop A 3-hour creative workshop at AURUM £39pp Sunday 16th August 6-9pm 26th August 2026 6-9pm Saturday 3rd October 6-9pm Sunday 8th November 7-10pm Come and create your very own hand-sculpted god or goddess figure from clay and metal skeletal frameworks! No experience needed, no perfection required, and absolutely no pressure to know what you’re doing. This is a fully guided 3-hour workshop where you’ll be invited to connect with the energy of a god, goddess, deity, archetype or divine form that feels meaningful to you. This could be Egyptian, Greek, Celtic, Norse, Hindu, ancient, ancestral, nature-based, symbolic, or simply an intuitive figure that comes through as you create. You do not need to be artistic. You do not need to sculpt something “perfect.” This is about creating with your hands, connecting with intention, and allowing a figure to take shape in whatever way it wants to arrive. What to Expect We will begin with a short grounding meditation to help you connect with the energy, symbolism or divine form you feel drawn to. You may already know who you want to create, or you may allow the meditation and clay to guide you. You’ll then be guided through shaping, building and decorating your clay figure using simple techniques. Printed images of a variety of deities will be on display for you to gain inspiration. You can also do a bit of sketching to help you on your way! We are aiming for sculpture about 4-6 inches high. For those that want to expand on this, there will be a future workshop for much larger pieces. Your piece can become: A goddess figure A god figure A deity-inspired sculpture A divine feminine or masculine form A protection figure A fertility or abundance figure A shadow/self-work figure An altar statue An intuitive spirit figure You can keep it simple with shapes, symbols and markings, or add more detail if you feel confident. This workshop includes: Guided meditation Clay sculpting Simple hand-building techniques Symbol carving Texture work Intuitive design All materials included Feast of the Gods grazing table: A mix of flatbreads, dips, olives, roasted veg, cheese, fruit, dates, honey, nuts, little cakes. This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop with full support throughout. Who is This For? This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves mythology, spirituality, ancient cultures, altar pieces, intuitive art, hands-on creativity or simply wants a peaceful evening making something meaningful. You do not need to follow a particular path or belief system. You are welcome to create from symbolism, intuition, mythology, personal meaning or pure imagination. This is for anyone who wants to connect, create and make something that feels personal. LIMITED TO 6 SPACES PER WORKSHOP Please Note This is a creative and spiritual workshop, not a formal art class. Your piece does not need to look perfect to be powerful. AURUM is located upstairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Come as you are, get your hands in the clay, and let something ancient, symbolic or beautifully strange take shape. Bring along anything you'd like to add into the clay!
