JOGS Fidget Ring Workshop PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is offered exclusively in conjunction with the JOGS Gem & Jewelry Show. Date: Friday, September 3rd 3:00pm-5:00pm JOGS Tucson Instructor: Jenny Rodriguez, Pure Life Jewelry Skill Level: Beginner Medium: 14k Gold Filled, Sterling Silver or Mixed Metals Class Length: 2 Hours Class Description Create your own handcrafted fidget ring while learning the foundations of traditional metalsmithing. In this beginner-friendly workshop, students will work directly with sterling silver to form, texture, solder, and finish their own wearable fidget ring. You'll create a comfortable base ring and add movable spinner bands that freely rotate around the finished piece. Throughout the class, Jenny will guide you through essential jewelry-making techniques including measuring and forming metal, soldering, texturing, shaping, and professional finishing. No previous metalsmithing experience is required. You'll leave class with a completely finished sterling silver fidget ring made by you—and an introduction to techniques used by professional metalsmiths. Students will learn: Ring sizing and forming Metal texturing Torch soldering Creating and fitting spinner bands Filing, shaping, and finishing metal All tools and materials are provided. The cost of the class includes all materials Must be 18 or older to attend (unless accompanied by a parent or guardian). 72-hour cancellation required. No refunds for no-call/no-shows.
