Blue Eyes Lithophyllon Coral Frag

Blue Eyes Lithophyllon, Lithophyllon sp., is a plating to encrusting stony coral known for its broad, low-growing form, ridged skeletal texture, and contrasting mouth centers. This WYSIWYG frag features green and blue-green tissue with darker striping, pale blue to lavender mouth centers, and a sculpted plate-like shape that adds texture and contrast to reef aquariums. Lithophyllon corals are popular with reef hobbyists because they offer distinctive growth, interesting patterning, and attractive coloration in established reef systems. Care Guide: Lithophyllon sp. generally does best in low to moderate lighting and low to moderate indirect water flow. Start this frag lower in the aquarium and acclimate slowly to stronger lighting, especially under LEDs. Provide enough flow to keep the surface clean without blasting the tissue. Place it on stable lower rockwork, a frag rack, or the sand bed with room around it, as plating corals may expand and can irritate nearby corals if crowded. Maintain stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, and temperature. This coral is photosynthetic but may benefit from occasional target feeding with small meaty foods or fine coral foods when feeding response is visible.
