Welcome to the Unglamorous Beach Club. For our first footwear collaboration we partnered with Massachusetts-based OOFOS — the brand that pioneered recovery footwear — to create our version of the OOriginal Sport Sandal, made for the beach as it actually exists in the Northeast: sandy parking lots, dog walks, wet towels and the long walk back to the car. We call it the Sand Hopper, after the tiny crustaceans found hopping through the sand along the shoreline. The upper features a dark green pattern derived from the distinctive markings of Atlantic mackerel, rendered in matte Kumbo green over a black base and finished with a custom Adsum + OOFOS lockup in metallic cool grey on the footbed and outsole wall. Underneath is OOFOS' patented OOfoam™ construction — closed-cell recovery foam that absorbs 37% more impact than the standard EVA found in most footwear — with a contoured footbed that cradles the arch and lets each step roll forward.
