Finn Juhl Easy Chair – Danish Teak, 1960s

A striking Easy Chair designed by Finn Juhl in Denmark during the 1960s, handcrafted in beautifully figured teak. The chair reflects Juhl’s distinctive approach to Scandinavian furniture, combining sculptural timber elements with elegant proportions and exceptional comfort. The beautifully shaped teak frame features an expressive angular construction, with the supports flowing together to create a distinctive architectural silhouette. The warm, rich tones of the teak provide a beautiful contrast to the newly upholstered seat and back. The chair has been completely restored by our skilled restorers. The teak frame has been carefully refinished, while the structure has been checked and strengthened where necessary. It is now tight, firm and solid, ready for many more years of use. The chair has been newly upholstered in Creation Baumann fabric, selected for its refined quality and contemporary geometric pattern. The light ivory fabric with subtle grey lines complements the natural warmth of the teak beautifully. A particularly elegant example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, bringing together Finn Juhl’s sculptural language, fine Danish craftsmanship and the enduring beauty of teak.
