Sanguisorba 'Little Angel'

Sanguisorba 'Little Angel' (Burnet) Sanguisorba 'Little Angel' is a delightful compact burnet, awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding garden performance. It forms a neat, well-behaved mound of attractive blue-green pinnate variegated foliage, from which slender stems rise to carry deep rose-pink, bottlebrush-shaped flowerheads through summer and into autumn. A superb plant for pollinators, it is particularly attractive to bees and butterflies. True to its name, 'Little Angel' is one of the most refined and garden-worthy burnets available, with a compact habit that makes it ideal for smaller gardens, the front of borders, or large containers. Its long flowering season and fine-textured foliage provide interest from spring right through to the first frosts, making it a genuinely four-season plant.
