Ceramic platters by Alison Owen. Alison Owen is a multimedia artist based in Poughkeepsie, NY. Using various mediums including stoneware, handmade paper, watercolor, pencil, and found pages from art history books, she creates mixed media ceramics, paintings and collages that hover between two and three dimensions. Her work often weaves in themes of motherhood and feminine inclusion and draws attention to interior space, interior life, the life of objects, and the stories they hold. Platter 1 is 11 by 7.5 inches Platter 2 is 5 by 8 inches Platter 3 is 6 by 8.5 inches Platter 4 is 5.5 by 9.5 inches Platter 5, a special collaged decorative edition, is 5.5 by 8.5 inches (note it is unglazed with a paper surface)
