What happens when paper, everyday objects and images become part of a musical instrument? For the fourth edition of A Room of One's Own, contemporary music ensemble between feathers comes to la maison with an intimate programme for flute and accordion, exploring how materials and objects can become part of the music itself. At the centre of the evening is a new work by Atousa Falamarzian, written especially for the duo and developed with paper as a central material. Created for this performance at la maison, the piece brings something closely connected to paper republic into an entirely different context: paper as a source of sound. Alongside this new work, Audrey G. Perreault and Maria Mogas Gensana perform pieces by Yulan Yu, Luxa Mart*in Schüttler, Malin Bång and Sarah Nemtsov, where flute and accordion meet unexpected objects, including paper and a bicycle pump. The evening also includes improvisations inspired by watercolour works created by Audrey G. Perreault in spring 2026, opening a dialogue between sound and image.
