Happily For Now

“Happily For Now” is the lesser-known criterion for a novel to be considered a Romance; either this or a Happily Ever After is essential to the genre. It also suits the artist and her partner, Kenton. As they embark on their life together, they want to make room for their nuanced and evolving selves to make choices in the future. Brianna’s 3 selves (present in every artwork in this series) are called Head of Feelings, Brave Front, and Spymaster. Kenton’s 3 selves (identified for this artwork specifically) are Diplomat, Drifter, and Farmer. This artwork evokes the giddiness of the end of movies like Matilda (1996) and 13 Going on 30 (2004).
