Introduction to Guernsey Knitting with Pam Connolly

Join Pam Connolly for an introduction to Guernsey Knitting! Pam is our instructor on our Nautical Knitting trip this summer. If you missed sign ups for the cruise - This class will go over some of the basics! Or take this as prep for your boat trip the following day. This class serves as an introduction to the traditional art of British fishermen’s handknitting with accessible projects, including a hat designed exclusively for Northwest Yarns with our hand-dyed wool! Get started with coasters or prayer flags in authentic gansey yarn, learn traditional circular motifs with a beautifully patterned hat, or head out on your own with a scarf design template that pairs perfectly with Leviathan Fibres BFL. Sweater quantities of Frangipani Traditional Guernsey Wool will be available for purchase for a limited time. Materials Needed (available for purchase at NW Yarns): 110g of either Leviathan Fibres' BFL Sport OR Frangipani Traditional Guernsey Wool Circular needles that achieve 7 st/inch with sport yarn.
