King Art original painting — Neil McBride Art

This small abstract painting of a face emerging out of the darkness is part of a series started a while ago. The idea was to stage an exhibition of the complete works if they were not sold piecemeal first. Some have sold already so the exhibition may have to be shelved for now. These small paintings are formed by the spontaneous layering of thick paint by palette knife combined with intermittent thin glazes. It is a very tricky process and many paintings are doomed to failure. Hence the reason why very few of them have been produced. Rehearsed spontaneity is a difficult technique to pull off! Rarity is a major factor when valuing art (many people valuing paintings based on size). These little gems are worth every penny of course!
