Unique Modernist Cast Bronze Chess Set, 1960s

These incredibly special cast bronze chess pieces were made sometime in the 1960s, purchased at a boutique in New York City, though we have yet to identify the artist. The solid bronze pieces have substantial weight and size, with the King standing four inches tall and weighing about a quarter of a pound. Each piece is beautifully crafted with a unique modernist sophistication and hand-figured aesthetic. These miniature sculptures function as art and are the perfect pieces to display atop your chess table. This is a full set of 32 pieces.
