It's untreated and has some silk, and like with some of the world's most famous sapphires and rubies a little silk is often seen as a good thing, as it gives the gemstone an amazing inner glow. This inner glow can easily be seen in our natural light video. The cushion cut faceting pattern is quite shallow however, due to the silk this is not such a big problem and it has a couple of added benefits, the diameter is larger than most sapphires of its weight and it could sit quite low to the finger.
