Karanfil Pendant in Citrine and Diamond - Solid Gold

The “carnation” or Karanfil Pendant combines Ottoman Iznik-inspired floral enamel designs with the shapes of Indian Kundan jewellery and mid-17th Century hand-carved beads. Its oval shape houses an 18K gold bezel setting containing a 1.6ct citrine in a halo of 0.2 total cts of 1.3mm white diamonds. The body of Sterling Silver is coated on the front in hot, hand-poured enamel featuring a frosty blue flower against a background of nighttime cobalt. The warm bloom of a carnation is contrasted against wintry, exposed silver on the rear. It hangs from an 18K Gold swivel bail that can clip directly onto a chain, designed to be styled with a bead and silk necklace, or a solid gold chain.
