Compact Class D stereo power amplifier The Eversolo AMP-F2 is a Class D stereo power amplifier designed to pair with a preamplifier or a source with a preamp output, such as an Eversolo network player or streamer/DAC. It delivers 145 W RMS per channel into 8 Ω from a chassis just 270 mm wide, which makes it possible to build a complete hi-fi system without taking over the rack. Its design targets a very low noise floor and distortion measured at around 0.003%. Power and amplification topology The AMP-F2 is built around the Starke Sound NS600 amplification module, based on Texas Instruments PurePath Ultra-HD technology with error correction and an advanced feedback loop. This architecture reduces distortion and stabilises the output stage against the impedance swings of the speakers. Power goes from 145 W RMS per channel into 8 Ω to 250 W RMS per channel into 4 Ω, enough to drive demanding or low-sensitivity speakers despite the compact format. The 600 W SAPS switching power supply provides the current reserve required, with low residual ripple and limited electromagnetic interference. Bridged mode and subwoofer duty The amplifier can run in bridged mode, behaving as a mono block capable of 450 W RMS into 2 Ω. This configuration suits a passive subwoofer or a speaker that demands significant power in the low end. Two bridged AMP-F2 units can also form a pair of monoblocks for a more ambitious stereo setup. The damping factor of 100 and the 10 Hz to 20 kHz (±1.2 dB) frequency response reflect consistent control across the whole bandwidth. Connectivity, chassis and integration The unit accepts a balanced XLR input and an unbalanced RCA input, making it compatible with most preamplifiers and network players with variable output. A 5–12 V trigger in and out on a 3.5 mm mini-jack allows automatic power-up with the rest of the chain, a useful feature in a multi-component or rack installation. The beryllium-copper speaker terminals ensure a reliable contact, and the aluminium chassis with electromagnetic shielding protects the electronics from interference. At 3.65 kg and with standby consumption below 0.5 W in line with the European ErP directive, the AMP-F2 fits equally well on a shelf, in a desktop system or in a second room.
