The open mouth forms the original water outlet. The bronze has developed a superb aged surface, with rich dark brown tones alongside extensive natural green verdigris and weathering, giving the piece an exceptionally strong sense of age and character. A fantastic piece of early 19th century folk inspired decorative metalwork. A favourite recent find! Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound.
