ESCAPE II (Escape Two) VACHETTA BROWN/COW

Unlike the classic VINTAGE CALF leather of previous ESCAPE models, this iteration features playful stitching colors and tongue, a deliberate leather sole, and a classic finish without a toe cap. Most importantly, from this release onwards, the ESCAPE shares the same last as the HENRY, resulting in a more stylish finish. The sole is engraved with "BROTHER BRIDGE." Carefully crafted with the Goodyear welt construction method, this design is based on the traditional M43 US military boot. BROTHER BRIDGE has released updated versions of this boot repeatedly. While the original form of this design used thick, stiff leather, we have incorporated relatively soft calf and grain-finished suede in our creations. This time, we return to the origin, utilizing full-vegetable tanned leather with thickness and resilience derived from the ancient pit tanning method. Pit tanning takes longer than regular tannin tanning, but it significantly enhances the aging process. Furthermore, a dyeing method using the technique of Ottocento, an established Italian tannery, achieves a rich and deep color. The leather used is "double shoulder," taken from both shoulder parts. It features unique wrinkles and bloodlines, and by incorporating these without avoiding them during cutting, you can fully enjoy the inherent charm of the leather. Compared to the regular ESCAPE, this leather is slightly stiffer, but it offers a rewarding aging process. Please enjoy the rich texture of Italian leather. Due to the absence of a toe cap, it may feel slightly smaller. By removing the toe cap, the toe gradually flattens with age, developing a vintage look. For customers who already own BROTHER BRIDGE shoes, we recommend a half size up. For first-time customers, we recommend a half size or one size up from your actual foot measurement.
