Dagmar Jacket Junior Knitting Pattern - PetiteKnit
Dagmar Jacket Junior The Dagmar Jacket Junior is worked seamlessly from the top down in beautiful cable and textured stitch patterns. Featuring a timeless silhouette, classic toggle closures and elegant textured details, it makes a cosy layering piece for children of all ages. The back yoke is worked flat first. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders to work each front separately before the fronts and back are joined at the underarms. The body is worked flat on circular needles, while the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked seamlessly in the round. Finally, button bands and the neckband are worked by picking up stitches along the front edges and neckline. The combination of textured stitches and traditional toggle fastenings gives the jacket a classic Scandinavian look with a polished finish. The Dagmar Jacket Junior is designed with approx. 25 cm of positive ease. Before beginning your project, knit a swatch in the textured stitch pattern to ensure you achieve the correct gauge after washing and blocking.
