A handsome antique mahogany chest on chest dating from the Georgian period. This elegant piece is made in two sections for easier transportation and positioning, featuring a moulded cornice above two short over six long graduating drawers. It retains its original brass swan-neck handles and offers an abundance of practical storage while making a striking statement in any period or traditional home. The rich mahogany has developed a lovely colour and patina over the years, with attractive grain throughout. Condition Report Overall, this chest is in good antique condition and is solid and sturdy. Age-related marks, knocks, scratches and wear are present throughout, as you would expect from a piece of this age. There are historic repairs and restorations, including around some escutcheons, along with areas of wear to the moulding and edges.
