A timeless diamond tennis bracelet dating from the late 20th or early 21st century, set with a continuous line of 58 round brilliant-cut diamonds in 14ct white gold. Each diamond measures approximately 2.80mm and is estimated to weigh 0.08 carats, giving a combined diamond weight of approximately 4.6 carats. The diamonds are held in delicate two-point claw settings, allowing plenty of light to enter the stones while giving the bracelet a beautifully fluid and elegant appearance. Originally known simply as a diamond line bracelet, the style became known as the “tennis bracelet” after tennis champion Chris Evert’s diamond bracelet came loose during a televised match at the US Open. Play was reportedly paused while it was found, and the story helped transform the design into one of the most recognisable jewels of the late 20th century. Elegant enough for an evening occasion yet wonderfully easy to wear every day, it looks equally beautiful worn alone or layered with a watch and other bracelets.
